PhD position is available immediately at Lund Stem Cell Center (Prof. Zaal Kokaia’s lab) supported by Strategic Research Area in Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine. The project involves reprograming of cells for generation of striatal and cortical neurons suitable for cell replacement therapy in stroke.
The applicant should have a good background in molecular biology and cloning. The knowledge of stem cell biology, cell culturing, immunocytochemistry and stereotaxic transplantation methods are also warranted but not essential.
